A **program tag** is a classification label assigned to a loyalty program member. Program tags are used for segmentation, enabling you to set up targeted campaigns and communicate with specific member groups.
A bonus program can have multiple program tags. You can update a member's program tag at any time to ensure they are correctly classified.
Program tags are especially useful for creating predefined segments — for example, VIP or corporate members who qualify for special benefits. These members can be invited to join your program via a custom URL that automatically assigns them the appropriate program tag.
